Our client is looking for an optical assistant for two of their stores in Townsville. This is a retail customer service and sales role with a fashion focus. It would be great if you have had optical experience but this is not necessary as you will receive on the job training and will have the opportunity to undertake a traineeship to become a qualified optical dispenser.
Your role as an optical assistant will be to offer solutions to meet customer needs and suggesting the best available products and services to exceed their expectations. You will be supported by an entire network of passionate professionals all working to the same of goal of helping people live longer, healthier, happier lives. You will also be working for a large company with ongoing job security!
As these stores operate 7 days per week, you will be required to undertake some weekend work.
To be successful in gaining this role you will need:
- Sales and customer service skills
- Excellent presentation and people skills
- Willingness to assist customers with appropriate frame and lens
- Ability to work towards achieving store KPIs promoting campaigns and special offers

Above award salary is on offer along with an accredited traineeship (Certificate IV Optical Dispensing) which will be paid by the company.
